Mastering Fluoroscopy: Procedures, Equipment, and Clinical Applications for the Radiologic Technologist
Mastering Fluoroscopy gives the radiologic technologist a comprehensive working understanding of fluoroscopy as it is practiced in modern imaging departments. The course covers the equipment that defines the modality, the radiation safety principles that govern its safe use, and the clinical procedures that make up the daily fluoroscopy schedule. Topics include the X-ray tube, image intensifier and flat-panel detector technology, automatic brightness control, pulse rate selection, dose metrics and SRDL thresholds, operator and patient protection, and the geometric and magnification factors that drive dose.
